What if everything you thought about time and destiny is beautifully incomplete? Discover a profound truth about God’s eternal presence and your place within it. Gene Edwards invites us to ponder a radical understanding of God’s ‘eternal now,’ where all of creation and time exist simultaneously within Him. Explore the revelation that you were “marked off in Christ before the foundation of the world”, chosen not just at the beginning, but “predestined” by a glorious Lord who stands at the end as He does at the beginning. This message goes beyond conventional theology, unveiling a deeper union where you are intrinsically “an element of Christ”. Allow your spirit to be stirred by this expansive view of God’s all-encompassing being and your profound identity within it.
Now then, I want you to try to remember my handkerchief. See my handkerchief? My handkerchief’s inside this sheet. Where did creation take place? In God. Can God get ahead of me in the future? He is. Alright, that’s correct. That’s beautiful, but it’s not correct. It’s not like he made the parts and said, ah, I’m finished. Now let’s put it together. He quite literally is at the end. He quite literally is at the beginning. He quite literally is tomorrow. Hallelujah. He quite literally is in yesterday. He is yesterday, He is today, and He is tomorrow. And here’s the beginning of creation. Can you folks see me do this?
That’s the beginning of creation. Here’s the end of creation over here. So when I said we’re post-elected, not pre-destined, but post-destined, why can he not choose me? Here’s the end, here’s the end right here, here’s the beginning. Is there no reason why he cannot choose me at the end? Of course he can choose me at the end because he’s
at the end and he’s at the beginning.
This is the end of time. Oh, no, no. Here’s the end of time. Help me here, brother. Oh, it’s
okay. There’s the end of time. Here’s the beginning of time. This is God, and all time and
creation is in Him. Why can He not choose me at the end? Because He is at the end at
the same time He’s at the beginning. The reason I’m telling you this is because we don’t
understand these things. People think that God predestined us at the beginning, and some
are going to go to hell, and some are going to go to heaven, and there’s nothing we can do
about it. We don’t understand that God saw it all at the same moment.
All creation is in Him. He is the beginning. He is the end at the same moment.
If you look in the book of Revelation, the most repeated term in the book of Revelation, term, phrase, not word, is I am the beginning and the end. I’m the Alpha and the Omega. I am here when I am here. I is the beginning. I is the end. That’s bad English, but it’s perfect God.
There is the beginning, there is the end. But I’m still in error because I’m showing you a beginning and an end. I want you to remember that this is creation, this is creation, here’s where God said “Let” and this is where God says it’s over, and I’m somewhere along here. But he envelops me and time and space and creation. And when he created in the beginning, he at the same moment also finished the end. He did it all. It is a glorious drama, a story taking place in time, but for God, it is finished when it began.
Finished. That I finished it before I began it. Now drop the sheet over me again, brother. This is creation. And here is God. And where are you? In there. In Him. Is that right? Are you in Christ? Is this right? I think you brothers are wrong. I’m going to tell you why you are
wrong, brothers. I just dropped creation. Did you see creation drop? Let me do that for the camera. Here is the beginning and end. I need your help again.
All right, folks, I would like for you to watch. Here is time. This is the beginning of it, the end of it. And let God envelop it. And there’s the beginning and there’s the end. And I ask you if you were in there. And the answer is not correct. If you say yes, that’s not true. And I
want you to reach under and take creation out, would you? Will you show everybody
creation? Hold it out in a straight line. Okay. Now then, remove it. Now, understand this. You were in him before that creation. You were in him before that handkerchief, you were in him before that time of beginning and end, you are in him. Here he is, and you’re lost in him. Before he dared to make that creation, you were, and this is the Greek, not predestined, you were marked off in Christ before the foundation of the world.
This is God. This is Christ, the creator. Here is Colossians. He created all creation in himself. Before he created creation in himself, he marked off part of his self and said, this is Daniel, this is Timothy, this is Joe. Praise the Lord, David, this is you. You have existed in Christ. Before the foundation of the world. Praise His name.
Now, brothers, that’s the Christ that you want to go proclaim. And that’s my point.
A revelation of Jesus Christ. I am not talking to you about predestination. I’m not talking to you about yourself. I am talking to you about your Lord. This is your glorious Lord, that creation is in him and you were in him before the foundation of the world.
Now, for those of you who are Arminian and those of you who are Calvinists, eat it, because your Calvinistic doctrine is not worth a hoot, and your Arminian doctrine is not worth a hoot. Your God is too small.
