Debrecen Messages #2 – Christ Before Creation

What if everything you thought about time and destiny is beautifully incomplete? Discover a profound truth about God’s eternal presence and your place within it. Gene Edwards invites us to ponder a radical understanding of God’s ‘eternal now,’ where all of creation and time exist simultaneously within Him. Explore the revelation that you were “marked off in Christ before the foundation of the world”, chosen not just at the beginning, but “predestined” by a glorious Lord who stands at the end as He does at the beginning. This message goes beyond conventional theology, unveiling a deeper union where you are intrinsically “an element of Christ”. Allow your spirit to be stirred by this expansive view of God’s all-encompassing being and your profound identity within it.

I will say, in God, and in the eyes of God, there is no beginning. There’s no such thing as beginning and for him there is no such thing as end. I want to tell you what the astronomers say.

You heard about the Big Bang, the Big Bang the beginning of creation from the viewpoint of astronomers, that there’s an explosion and the universe goes out like this like that. It’s like God said, “Let”, and there’s a boom, and it’s still traveling out that way. But that’s not
correct. What the astronomers have discovered is that here is the beginning of the big bang and at the very instant of the beginning it curved. It did not go straight out. Creation curved. And when the Big Bang is over, things will not come back this way.

When creation has ended, and I’m talking as an astronomer would, it will not come back this way. There is the explosion and it moves and begins coming back this way and collapses at the point where it began. A lot goes out this way and comes back this way. You heard the term, time is warped. That creation and time are the same. Einstein said to us that there was no such thing as time until there was physical matter.

So there’s the bang. It goes out like this, and it comes around. I’ll make this bigger. All right. Creation will come back here and end again where it began, at the very same spot as the explosion.

But now listen to the astronomer again tell you something that I cannot comprehend, and that is that time is not in sequence. Time is not like this from here to here. For those of you who are watching this, I’m using a white cloth. There’s time. Actually, we think it’s kind of did this. This is what we think. The explosion, and then time starts moving like this, and we’re somewhere along here. And that’s the end of time.

And you and I are, oh, we’re right there. Okay? And we’re moving along and, no, we’re right, here. Here we are. That’s where we are. And then that’s tomorrow and that’s the next day. And, that’s not what happened. Now this is very difficult for you and me to understand, but all of time happened at once, but I cannot see all of time happen at once because I happen to be right there. You see my little finger? I’m here and I’m moving along, I can’t really believe there’s time already out there in front of me because I cannot see it. Therefore, I cannot believe.

But that’s not all. I also believe that God is caught right here. Now think about it. Is that not true? And then he’ll get up tomorrow, and we’ll be here. And the day after tomorrow we’ll be here. And he can come meet me somewhere along, He can meet me today. He met me yesterday. And he could meet me tomorrow and be with me. But in truth, I have God in the same place I’m in. I have him chained to time. You think, oh, okay, then he can move
back and forth up and down this.

I hope you folks can see this. This is a handkerchief representing the stream.

Oh, God can move back that way and He can get ahead of me and be in tomorrow. So we give Him a little bit more than we’ve got. I cannot explain this. All of time happened at once, and He’s not caught here with me, and He doesn’t just run ahead of me a little bit. Here’s where He is in all that. You can’t see that, can you? You can’t comprehend that. He is in all these places. The reason you and I can’t comprehend that is because that is not correct either. But let’s take a minute and think about it. That I may be stuck here. All of time has taken place, but God is in all places of all times at once. But that’s more than I can handle. Well, let me give you more than that to handle. What is that? Is that a sheet?

Yeah. Okay, hand me the sheet. Drop the sheet over. See the string?

Now the string is disappearing in a sheet. The sheet is God. Where is time? Somewhere in there. Can you see this? No. Okay. Can you see that creation is in him? Now, if this is God, he’s bigger than the sheet. Okay. A little bit bigger than the sheet. Then where is time? It’s
in him. Listen to me, brothers. God envelops creation. You understand envelop? Yes. An envelope? Yeah, like an envelope. Take it, and we’ll come get her at the airport. Or at the train station. If that’s not it, come get me. Don’t you love amateur hour here, folks? This is the way life really is. Alright, do you see my sheet?

The sheet is God. Creation is in him now, you tell me where God is in a timeline. Time is in God. Does this mean then that any place, He’s there all the time, any time he’s there, yes, he’s there every He is there at all times, in all times. That’s right. Now, he is not one with creation. This is not Pantheon there. He’s separate from, but he’s in all those places.
